AOC’s Handcuff Act at Abortion Rally Is Stunning and Bold

We have no choice but to give it to her: AOC is a master at starting conversations.

Whether it be for good or ill (always for the worse), whether it be for right or wrong (always for the worse), the socialist lawmaker has the media by the balls, and she is well aware of this fact. Whether she's causing a stir on social media by sparring with Ted Cruz or Elon Musk or acting as though she's been arrested in front of the Supreme Court, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a gal who knows how to pull a fast one!

It was a hoax that was indeed conducted on Tuesday by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other far-left Democrats when Capitol Police faked to arrest the lawmakers as they demonstrated for abortion rights in front of the Supreme Court building.

The Capitol Police reported that they had made 35 arrests, which included 17 members of Congress. The charges were made due to violations of regulations that prohibit crowding, impeding, or inconveniencing others.

In response to the recent decision by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, which gave individual states the authority to impose restrictions on the abortion process, a group of progressive politicians conducted an act of civil disobedience as a form of protest.

The act sparked a backlash on social media, particularly as videos of AOC's "arrest" showed the socialist politician pretending to be shackled as if she were a civil rights hero fighting on the front lines of the conflict.

Handcuffs or any other type of shackle were not used to restrain AOC in any way during the course of the stunt, which was captured on video and shows clearly that she was escorted by the police. The New York Democrat was only acting out a scenario, similar to what Jussie Smollett did, in order to symbolically represent the process of getting held without having to go through it in real life.

All in the sake of the cause!

Reps. Carolyn Maloney, Nydia Velazquez, Jackie Speier, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alma Adams, and Cori Bush were among the other members who were present. Also present were Senators Cori Bush and Elizabeth Warren.

It is estimated that almost one million dollars worth of taxpayer money was wasted so that the "Squad" could be protected by private security while they pretended to put their freedom at danger for abortion rights.

When looking at this list of lawmakers on the far left, one thing that stands out immediately is the states that they all hail from. Every politician who participated in the action in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday was a representative of a state that has passed legislation to make abortion legal, with the exception of Rep. Cori Bush, who belongs from the state of Missouri.

The hoax resulted in a significant amount of backlash on social media, and the gang of crisis actors was mercilessly made fun of by people of all political stripes, beginning with Tucker Carlson's humorous speech on Tuesday night.

Babylon Bee, a well-known satirical news website, also made fun of AOC in an article that was hilarious about her purported arrest.

Stunts like these are why AOC is a welcome addition to Congress, regardless of how you feel about the issue of abortion; if not for the entertainment value alone, at the very least, she provides a lot of laughs.
