According to a study conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, the majority of Democrats do not want Joe Biden to run for president in 2024.
64 percent of Democratic voters do not want Biden to run for president again in 2024, a significant proportion given that Biden has just been president for two years.
Democrats want a new candidate because Biden is growing old (33%), he isn't doing a good job (32%), and they want someone fresh (15 percent ).
Even worse for Biden, according to the study, 77 percent of registered voters believe America is heading in the wrong way. According to the New York Times, this "bleak national outlook" is making Americans detest Biden more and more. In reality, the poll indicated that only 33% of registered voters are satisfied with Biden's performance, while 60% are not.

"I went from living a comfortable lifestyle to I can’t afford anything anymore"," Nicole Farrier, a Democrat who voted for Biden in 2020, told the New York Times. "I’m just going to come out and say it: I want younger blood."
Kelly King, another Democratic voter, believes Biden isn't doing enough to effect change.
According to King, Trump hasn't mentioned anything about the economy. "He hasn’t done what I think he’s capable of doing as president to help the American people. As a Democrat, I figured he would really be on our side and put us back on the right track. And I just feel like he’s not."
