Before Wednesday, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) may not have been a household name, but he certainly made a name for himself within his party. This guy is like the Energizer Bunny of Congress, always working hard and getting things done. He’s chaired multiple committees, been elected to leadership positions, and even founded the Civility Caucus. Yeah, that’s right, a caucus dedicated to bringing a little bit of manners back to Washington. How refreshing!

But it’s not just about his work ethic, folks. Johnson has got strong principles and values, and he’s not afraid to stand up for them. That’s why he was elected chairman of the Republican Study Committee, the biggest gang of like-minded conservatives in the House. And now, as Speaker, he’s got a long to-do list. He’s already checked off the Energy and Water Development appropriations bill, which passed with flying colors. Next up, he’s tackling more spending bills while also making sure the government doesn’t go belly up. Talk about multitasking!
Now, some might say that his timeline is a little ambitious, what with all the other issues on Congress’s plate. But let me tell you, this guy can handle it. He’s got the brains, the work ethic, and the experience to get things done. So buckle up, folks, because Speaker Johnson is going to whip this Congress into shape. And it’s about time someone did!
