At some point today, President Trump will lend his support to a Republican running for the US Senate in Missouri.
"I'll be Endorsing in The Great State of Missouri Republican race (Nomination) for Senate sometime today!"
This follows the president's Sunday response to a dubious poll conducted by Eric Schmitt's campaign.
Today, Breitbart reported on a Missouri poll in which it was claimed that the polling organization had purposefully underestimated support for President Trump in the state:
On Sunday, a number of Republican strategists told Breitbart News that a Missouri poll commissioned by employees for Attorney General Eric Schmitt's U.S. Senate campaign purposefully undercounts support for former President Donald Trump in order to benefit Schmitt in the closing days of the contest.
In a survey conducted by Remington Research Group, a political organization associated with Schmitt's chief adviser Jeff Roe, Trump was found to be in the lead with 42% of the vote. The poll offers Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), 6 percent, Gov. Ron DeSantis (18%), other candidates (17%), and respondents (17%) who haven't yet made up their minds (18%). 818 likely Missouri voters were surveyed as part of the study on July 27 and 28.
