In a baffling display of misplaced priorities, President Joe Biden has decided to honor two of the most polarizing figures in American politics by awarding them the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This latest escapade comes after a midterm election that made it abundantly clear that voters across the nation are fed up with the antics of the current administration. With the clock ticking on his presidency, Biden seems hell-bent on delivering a parting gift to the likes of Hillary Clinton and George Soros, two individuals whose legacies are hardly inspiring.
Clinton, once a failed candidate who couldn’t even navigate her way through an election, is now celebrated as a champion of freedom. Soros, on the other hand, is widely recognized for his relentless attempts to undermine every foundational principle of American society. It’s almost as if Biden is trying to establish a new benchmark for absurdity as he struts across the stage, clearly out of touch with the sentiments of everyday Americans. Rather than recognizing individuals who have positively impacted the nation, Biden has chosen to shine a light on the very people who have fueled the political divide.
Adding to the absurdity of the ceremony was the presence of Hunter Biden, a man who has been synonymous with scandal and controversy. One can only imagine what the thinking was behind including the thoroughly disgraced First Son in this gala. It might be a head-scratcher, but perhaps Biden intended to subtly convey that scandalous behavior and questionable dealings should be celebrated rather than condemned. It wouldn’t be surprising if Hunter received an award for his numerous escapades in Ukraine and China, given the recent trend in the White House.

In a rather revealing display of pettiness, Biden chose to snub his own vice president, Kamala Harris. While Obama showered Biden with accolades and tears during their medal ceremony, it seems Harris will not be receiving similar treatment. Instead, she is left out in the cold, likely wondering what she did to deserve such a slight. The White House seems to be sending a clear message that gratitude and acknowledgment are reserved for those who play ball with the administration’s agenda, while others are simply cast aside.
As the Biden administration nears its end, the political misadventures continue to spiral. With just a couple of weeks left in his term, the American people can only hold their breath, hoping that this administration can manage a semi-graceful exit from the stage of politics. The choice to elevate current divisive characters rather than unify the country serves as a vivid reminder of Biden’s lack of understanding regarding the needs and desires of the American populace. As the countdown to the end of this presidency continues, many conservatives are left wondering how much further down this rabbit hole Biden is willing to go.
