An eagle-eyed driver recently captured footage of what seems to be a campaign bus for U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who is rumored to be eyeing a presidential run. The video, shared by Minnesota-based reporter Jason DeRusha, showcases a vibrant bus decorated in red, white, and blue, with the words “Dean Phillips for President” boldly displayed on the side. A catchy slogan, “Make America Affordable Again,” can be seen near the bottom of the vehicle.

DeRusha gleefully shared the clip on X, emphasizing the bus’s slogans. He also mentioned that Phillips registered a campaign site on October 12, although it has not gone live yet. It’s clear that Phillips is seriously considering throwing his hat into the presidential race.
Phillips has been creating waves recently, reaching out to potential staffers in New Hampshire and engaging with prominent political consultants like Steve Schmidt and Bill Fletcher. He has even informed his fellow House colleagues about his intentions to enter the race. While he initially called for a Democratic governor from a “heartland state” to challenge President Biden in the primary, Phillips seems to have decided that he is the one to take on the task.
During his prior interviews, Phillips expressed his concerns about the increased polarization in the country and his desire to create a campaign that unites people from all political backgrounds.
