In true California fashion, Governor Gavin Newsom seems to be the talk of the town lately. But this time, it’s not because of his fashion choices or trendy haircut. No, it seems that the Democratic Party has set their sights on Newsom as a potential replacement for President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential race. And they’re not being subtle about it either.
While other governors are doing their usual governor things, Newsom is jet-setting across the globe, rubbing elbows with world leaders like President Xi Jinping of China. Now, call me crazy, but I don’t think this is just a coincidence. It’s clear that the Democratic Party is either hedging their bets or has already made up their minds about Biden’s future.

This theory gains even more traction when you consider the comments made by President Biden himself. At a recent reception for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders, Biden showered Newsom with praise, saying, “He’s been one hell of a governor, man. Matter of fact, he could do anything he wants. He could have the job I’m looking for.” Now, unless Biden was just trying to impress the San Francisco crowd, it’s safe to say that there’s more to this statement than meets the eye.
But let’s take a step back and assess the situation with some clear-eyed rationality. California, under Newsom’s leadership, is not exactly a shining example of successful governance. It’s more like a cautionary tale. From skyrocketing homelessness to out-of-control crime and escalating taxes, the Golden State is losing residents and businesses at an alarming rate. Even the wealthiest among them are packing up and heading for greener pastures.
So why, in the name of all that is holy, would anyone think that Newsom is fit to be the next president of the United States? It’s beyond comprehension. But as we all know, when it comes to staying in power, the Democratic Party will stop at nothing. Even if it means tossing Biden aside like yesterday’s news and ushering in Newsom as their golden boy.
Now, I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but given the current legal troubles swirling around Biden and his questionable cognitive abilities, this scenario doesn’t seem too far-fetched. The president’s approval rating is already in the dumps, and his gaffes are becoming harder to ignore. The Democrats need a new face, and Vice President Kamala Harris just isn’t cutting it.
So, while the Democrats are busy parading Newsom around, testing the waters to see how he plays with the public, we have to ask ourselves: Is this the future we want for our great nation? As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. And in this case, that could mean a President Newsom and a whole lot of headaches for the American people. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.
