Biden’s quest to cancel student debt has hit yet another brick wall, and this time, it’s the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals delivering the message. Remember when the Supreme Court ruled that his unilateral attempt at debt forgiveness was a no-go? Rather than taking the hint, Biden decided to plow ahead like an overzealous college student at a kegger, completely ignoring the voice of authority. As if bragging about it somehow justifies the blatant disregard for legal boundaries, he proclaimed from the White House that his grand plan for debt relief was practically a done deal—until his “MAGA Republican” pals threw a wrench into it.
Despite the legal smackdown, Biden continuously attempts to flex his muscle and resurrect his canceled plans. His SAVE plan, which he claimed would aid millions, has seen a swift kick to the curb, further demonstrating that the courts are not buying his executive overreach. The latest ruling confirmed that the administration had gone far beyond its legal limits by concocting a scheme that essentially gives borrowers a free pass on their loans. The message couldn’t be clearer: the American taxpayer isn’t a bottomless pit for Ivy League fun.
The Biden administration is not backing down, though. They’re still aggressively defending their increasingly unpopular SAVE plan, regardless of court injunctions. The White House has even gallantly trumpeted that around 8 million borrowers benefited from this initiative. But a smart American knows the only real beneficiaries of Biden’s debt cancellation schemes are the lucky few who avoided paying back their loans, while hardworking taxpayers are left holding the bag.

Yet, this isn’t the first time a Democrat has crossed the line. Biden’s antics echo back to the age of Obama, who also decided that laws were only guidelines after DACA flopped in Congress. The disturbing pattern emerges: when Democrats can’t muscle their way through Congress, they simply disregard constitutional limits on presidential power, as if they’re competing in their own game of political hopscotch.
Meanwhile, the left continues to paint Republicans as the villains, claiming they pose an existential threat to democracy. It’s a classic case of projection, as they constantly overlook their own blatant violations of the rule of law. For the left, “democracy” appears to be synonymous with exercising unchecked power while dismissing dissenting opinions as noise. With each ruling against Biden’s plans, it becomes even clearer that the only “threat” to democracy is the approach taken by those who think they can bypass the Constitution whenever it suits them.
