Cori Bush Trailing Wesley Bell as Voters Reject Woke Policies in Tight Missouri Primary

The primary elections are looming, and it seems the ever-controversial Cori Bush may be facing the same fate as her fellow Squad member Jamaal Bowman. With just a day left before ballots close, it looks like the woke left’s grasp on power is starting to slip like that fine wine they can’t stop sipping in Washington.

In New York, Bowman’s grandstanding over Israeli relations cost him his primary seat in a stunning defeat, losing to a pro-Israel candidate who was clearly more in tune with the voters. Now, that tired playbook is coming back to haunt Bush in Missouri, where she’s trailing behind Wesley Bell. The polls aren’t just tight; they’re showing her drowning at 42% to Bell’s robust 48%. If that trend holds, she’ll be feeling the sting of defeat, though perhaps not as harshly as Bowman, who took it on the chin with a whopping 58.4% to 41.6% loss.

Bell’s campaign seems to be going about things the way they should – meeting with constituents and listening to their concerns. In contrast, Bush has become synonymous with indecipherable tax codes and scandals galore. Many might say that being one of the lesser productive lawmakers in Congress is an impressive feat if you’re trying to go unnoticed. Unfortunately, she’s managed to do just that, but for all the wrong reasons.

The controversies clouding Bush’s image only continue to pile up. With a Justice Department investigation into her questionable hiring decisions and a bodyguard with a history of antisemitic remarks, it’s no wonder voters are looking elsewhere. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch even jumped ship, endorsing Bell as the better option. Talk about a kiss of death for Bush’s campaign – and to think she thought being an outsider would protect her from such criticisms!

Even amidst these scandals, some members of House Democratic leadership are still trying to prop her up. Katherine Clark may have shown up to campaign at her side, but it won’t be long before the sharks begin to circle. On the ground, grassroots enthusiasm for Bell is palpable, with Jewish community organizers rallying their own networks and pushing back against the rise in antisemitism that many voters are deeply concerned about. As Election Day approaches, it appears that both Bell and the Jewish community are gearing up for a win that could shake up the left once again. If Bush isn’t careful, she could find herself on the cutting room floor, right next to Bowman.
