A disturbing peek behind the curtains of the Democrat Party has emerged, revealing just how deep the vitriol runs against former President Donald Trump. This time, it comes from Jacqueline Marsaw, a field director for Congressman Bennie Thompson (D-MS), who recently expressed her profound disappointment on social media that a would-be assassin failed to take out Trump during his rally in Pennsylvania.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Marsaw not only expressed regret that Trump survived the shooting attempt but also went a step further, suggesting the shooter gets some shooting lessons for a better aim next time. Yes, folks, this is the sophisticated discourse coming from the party that claims to hold the moral high ground.

The Mississippi GOP wasted no time in calling for Marsaw’s immediate dismissal, accusing her of condoning the attempted assassination of a former President. Their statement urged Congressman Thompson to act decisively against his rogue staffer, yet the veteran lawmaker’s response was as tepid as day-old coffee. He condemned the attempted attack on Trump but somehow couldn’t bring himself to take a robust stance against Marsaw’s outrageous comments.
Thompson, who has not exactly been Trump’s biggest fan (to put it mildly), had previously advocated stripping Trump of his Secret Service protections. Guess who might have quietly celebrated that proposal had it come to fruition? After the assassination attempt, he weakly suggested there’s “no room in American democracy for political violence.” Well, someone should really inform his staffers of that, since they seem to have missed the memo.
The hypocrisy here is monumental. Imagine the media meltdown if a Republican staffer had suggested a Democrat politician’s would-be assassin just needed better training. Marsaw’s excuse that she “got overwhelmed in the moment” and her claim of being a “diehard Democrat” surely doesn’t excuse such an alarming outburst. If being a diehard Democrat means rooting for political violence, it’s time for a serious rebranding.
This latest incident only confirms what many conservatives have long suspected—the Democrat Party is playing a dangerous game, stirring the pot of division and hatred while pretending to be above the fray. They proudly wear their disdain for Trump yet are shockingly silent when that disdain tips over into violent fantasies. The time has come for them to clean their own house before lecturing the rest of America about morality and unity.
