With various media outlets hawking this talking point in rapid succession, one can’t help but admire the organizational prowess of the Democratic Party. If only they could apply that energy to solving actual problems instead of launching futile attacks based on who wears the strangest socks.
The hypocrisy is almost laughable. In previous weeks, Democratic heavyweights were frantically labeling Trump and Vance as existential threats to democracy, the harbingers of fascism. Fast forward to today, and suddenly the focus has shifted from dire warnings of totalitarianism to calling them “weird.” It’s a classic deflection strategy, attempting to downplay their own internal fractures by throwing around pejoratives like children in a schoolyard.
