Harris Hosts Hip-Hop Summit to Push Pot Policy!

Vice President Kamala Harris shook things up at the White House with an unexpected gathering of liberal influencers. Rapper Fat Joe, White House Director of Public Engagement Steve Benjamin, and Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) got cozy with Harris to chat about the administration’s hot-button issue: decriminalizing marijuana. It’s like a scene out of a wild reality TV show, but unfortunately, this is the political circus we’re living in.

Harris, known for her love of order and tradition (not!), kicked off the pow-wow by giving shoutouts to Fat Joe and Beshear, praising them for challenging the status quo and daring to question the wisdom of current marijuana policies. In her not-so-surprising fashion, she spouted off about the “promise of America” and the need for “equal justice under the law.” Guess what, Kamala? The justice system is working just fine, thank you very much!

Now, get this: according to a Gallup poll, a whopping 70% of Americans think the good ol’ Mary Jane should be legalized. The numbers shoot up to 80% among the younger crowd. Well, isn’t that just peachy? Who needs laws when you’ve got popular opinion, right?

President Joe Biden, who’s clearly trying to pander to the stoner vote, promised during his 2020 campaign to decriminalize marijuana and clear the records of anyone with a simple possession charge, particularly the poor, innocent minority folks. But surprise, surprise, he hasn’t followed through on this radical pledge. Although he did ask the Department of Health and Human Services to rethink how they classify marijuana and even granted clemency to a bunch of pot pushers, it’s just a drop in the ol’ bong, if you know what I mean.

And get this. Biden finally mentioned marijuana during his State of the Union address. It’s like he’s seeking validation from a roomful of high school kids. He doubled down on his mission to reform the justice system and ensure that no one gets locked up for lighting up a joint. Way to go, Joe, way to go.

But seriously, folks, these mixed signals from the top are enough to make Lady Liberty’s head spin. Decriminalizing drugs? Palling around with rappers? What’s next, a “Weed Wednesdays” event at the White House? It’s like they’ve completely forgotten about the real issues facing our great nation.
