The courageous soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have dealt a significant blow to the Hamas terrorist organization by completely demolishing an extensive tunnel system concealed beneath Gaza's Palestine Square. Despite attempting to hide in the upscale Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City, the upper echelons of Hamas found themselves exposed.
The Israeli military released video footage capturing the destructive mission, highlighting the powerful explosions that brought the tunnels down. These tunnels, situated just a few feet from the main traffic circle in the affluent neighborhood, once served as a hub for nefarious activities.

Colonel Benny Aharon disclosed that the tunnel network was connected to the residences and offices of key Hamas figures, including Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar, military chief Muhammad Deif, and even the daughter of top political leader Ismail Haniyeh. It's remarkable that the nearby residents were unaware of the sinister activities transpiring beneath their feet, with stolen electricity and concealed weapons within.
During the IDF's briefing to reporters, the extent of the treachery became evident, revealing stolen power from civilian generators and solar panels that sustained the terrorists underground for months. Additionally, a cache of weapons, encompassing firearms, rockets, and equipment for nighttime operations, was discovered.
This triumph for Israel follows nearly two months of intense fighting across northern Gaza. The IDF confirmed that its ground offensive in the area is reaching its conclusion, with only a few remaining Hamas bases. In the last 24 hours, the IDF has continued airstrikes against hundreds of Hamas targets, delivering a substantial blow to the terrorists.
While the UN reports a significant number of displaced Palestinians due to the conflict, it is crucial to acknowledge that Hamas bears ultimate responsibility for jeopardizing the lives of innocent civilians.
