In a chilling incident that unfolded in Philadelphia, an illegal immigrant and self-proclaimed member of the notorious MS-13 gang took aim at unsuspecting motorists. Fredy Antonio Amaya-Marin, a 39-year-old from El Salvador, let loose a barrage of bullets from the cover of some nearby woods, ultimately targeting police when they arrived to handle the situation. This brainchild of poor immigration policy had previously been deported in 2007 but found a way back into the U.S., where he is now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder. Surely, the left would like to address the problem of illegal immigration, but the headlines don’t seem to reflect such chaos.

After running down a 17-year-old driver, this individual fled the scene only to be caught later for DUI. One has to wonder if these anecdotes ever make it into the daily diet of good news—but they keep cropping up, leaving a trail of injured citizens in their wake.
In an even more disturbing tale, Carlos Fernando Pinola Pop pled guilty to horrific crimes against a young girl in Kingston, New York. This 41-year-old illegal immigrant will serve a mere seven years in prison, his deportation seemingly a footnote in the proceedings. Such leniency raises serious questions about the prioritization of public safety in jurisdictions swamped with the fallout from immigration policies that seem more intent on fostering lawlessness than protecting citizens.
As if these incidents weren’t enough to raise eyebrows, there’s the matter of the Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela— a group that has metastasized from Denver into the quiet suburbs of Aurora, bringing their gang warfare and violent tendencies with them. Under the guise of sanctuary city protection, these gangs wreak havoc while local authorities conveniently downplay their activities. A local video sheds light on this growing issue, one that likely remains hidden from those still blissfully unaware of the shifting tides in their neighborhoods.
