What might be more fitting as a title? Perhaps **Arsonist Reports on Fire**, since the author has spent years throwing gasoline on the fire while pretending to be putting it out.
Tapper’s sudden interest in revealing the alleged “truth” about Biden’s state is nothing short of Orwellian. Having stood as a prominent figure in the media’s conspiracy to shield Biden from scrutiny, he now attempts to don the cape of a heroic firefighter, all while fanning the flames of misinformation he helped to stoke. Alex Thompson, Tapper’s co-author, is a notable figure in the realm of media reporting, despite his previous unwillingness to discuss Biden’s issues until the stakes were no longer high. One can’t help but wonder what compelled him to lend his credibility to Tapper’s self-serving endeavor—Is it for a book deal, or perhaps a shiny gold star for his efforts with CNN?
The timing of Tapper’s book is particularly suspect. The man who brought much of the confusion surrounding Biden’s capabilities is now promising to shine a light on them just as a 2024 presidential debate looms. This begs the question of why anyone would trust him to illuminate truth unless it serves his own interests—and how many viewers he hopes to wrangle back from the abyss of audience skepticism. If wisdom were a currency, Tapper sitting under this book’s cover would require a lifetime of credit.
Fast-forward to February 2024, where Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report deemed Biden too “mentally enfeebled” to face prosecution for serious allegations. Incredibly, Tapper then argues this mental incapacity does not disqualify Biden from pursuing reelection. This level of logic exemplifies a double standard that has been standard operating procedure for the left, and is something most Americans can see through—especially those who have been paying attention since 2020 when Biden’s cognitive decline was evident to anyone with functioning eyes and ears.

The media cycle rarely tires of dancing around facts when it comes to Democrats, choosing instead to focus on inconsequential issues like the volume of ice cream scooped by former President Trump. While Tapper had countless opportunities to speak out against the Biden administration’s obvious flaws over the years, he refrained until he sensed the political winds shifting in Trump’s favor ahead of 2024. Clearly, the stakes have changed, and now he’s ready to play the part of the concerned journalist, although the audience sees right through his manipulative antics.
In a nutshell, Tapper’s foray into the literary world might have relevance if it truly aimed to expose the reality of the Biden presidency. Instead, many who read it may only see additional evidence that the corporate media machine operates primarily to prop up Democrats, regardless of integrity or facts. A fitting concluding title for this exercise in vanity might just be **If I Did It … by Jake Tapper**, highlighting the real narrative: a shameless self-exoneration masquerading as journalism.
