JD Vance Blasts VP Harris for Ignoring Immigration Crisis

Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio has taken to the airwaves to call out Vice President Kamala Harris for her conspicuous absence in addressing the illegal immigration crisis, a situation he has squarely placed at her doorstep. Vance didn’t mince words when discussing the staggering 25 million illegal immigrants – a figure that seems to come from the real world rather than the sanitized statistics touted by the Department of Homeland Security, which claims a mere 8 million. This eyebrow-raising discrepancy certainly raises questions about how accurately the government is reporting their own mess.

During a recent appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, Vance reiterated the notion that millions have slipped over the border and into American neighborhoods since Harris was handed the title of “border czar.” Instead of taking responsibility for the surge in illegal crossings, it seems Harris has opted to focus on all the wrong things, continuing to ignore the very job she was told to do. That’s a classic case of deflecting responsibility if there ever was one.

Vance was not here to sugarcoat things. He insisted that the U.S. needs to “stop the bleeding” by reversing the policy changes Harris initiated almost immediately upon taking office. According to him, these changes have exacerbated the immigration disaster. He proposed re-establishing vigorous deportations, a refusal to issue asylum to virtually anyone, and cutting off the mass parole that has become all too common. It’s as if Harris and her friends think throwing open the gates would solve everything – spoiler alert, it hasn’t.

On a tangential yet crucial point, Vance was also pressed about future policy under a Trump administration. He pointed out that while some families may be separated in enforcement measures, the focus should be on deporting violent criminals. After all, it’s not just about maintaining family unity; it’s about protecting American families from the criminals that threaten their safety. If kids are caught up with drug cartel members, there’s a compelling case to be made for reuniting them with their biological families, rather than keeping them near their decidedly unfit caretakers.

Vance didn’t stop there; he also took a firm stance on voting integrity, stressing the need for legal ballots to be counted while keeping illegal votes out of the equation. His confidence in the Trump campaign heading into the 2024 election, despite some rampant narratives suggesting otherwise, speaks to the true fight for fair elections that rouses passionate feelings among conservative voters. With Trump having visited the southern border earlier to highlight the dangers posed by illegal immigration, it’s clear that this issue remains a cornerstone of their campaign message. In a time when protests are all the rage, Vance is advocating for controlling chaos at the border—and with a sense of urgency, no less.
