After former President Donald Trump snatched victory from the jaws of the Biden administration, the liberal media circus couldn’t contain its collective meltdown. Unsurprisingly, Jen Psaki, the former White House press secretary turned MSNBC host, took center stage for an emotional breakdown that would put a soap opera star to shame. With all the grace of a bison in a china shop, she launched into a tirade that left viewers questioning if she still believed in reality.
Psaki began her dramatic soliloquy by acknowledging that Trump’s win would be “a lot to digest” for many viewers. Clearly, Psaki must have underestimated the resilience of the American public when it comes to accepting electoral outcomes—something she seemed to struggle with when her team lost in 2020. If anyone should know the mental gymnastics involved in accepting a loss, it’s her. However, it appears that the only thing “digestible” in her world is a hefty serving of partisan bitterness.

She went on to throw around hyperbolic claims about Trump inciting a supposed “violent insurrection” after his loss in 2020. As expected, the narrative didn’t shy away from painting Trump as a felonious villain, caught in a web of criminal indictments. One might think Psaki was setting up for a blockbuster horror film instead of providing political commentary. Nevertheless, her inability to confront the actual issues facing American voters—like skyrocketing inflation and the disastrous handling of immigration—spoke volumes about her priorities.
Adding fuel to the fire, Psaki accused Trump of aspiring to be an authoritarian leader. Ironically, her colleagues in the mainstream media have been quick to praise heavy-handed government overreach in recent years, proving that the term “authoritarian” is often a matter of perspective. The chutzpah in leading with accusations against a man who rolled back unnecessary regulations, unlike the current administration which seems content to wield power to seize control over just about every aspect of American life is downright entertaining.
In a bid to further stoke emotional outrage, Psaki lamented about her daughter not being able to hear about the historic election of the “first woman president.” Perhaps it was lost on her that the election process doesn’t hinge on gender but rather the policies and values that a candidate brings to the table. The ironic twist is that while she weeps for a female president, her liberal comrades ignored the fine print: not all women are cut from the same political cloth. Instead of celebrating the empowerment of women in politics, it seems more like a case of “the ends justify the means.”
To cap off her performance, Psaki’s history of mocking concerns about illegal immigration was apparently overshadowed by her newfound sensitivity regarding voters in Virginia—claiming they should stay focused on other issues. At least now, she’s aware that many Americans care deeply about securing the borders, even if it took her some embarrassing moments on social media to finally recognize the sentiment. Maybe one day she will learn that the notion of national sovereignty isn’t just a punchline to be laughed at during a late-night talk show.
