With just 70 days until the 2024 election, the left-wing media is revving up its attack machines against Donald Trump, desperately trying to undermine his campaign. The former president recently honored the memory of 13 fallen American soldiers from the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that the Biden administration so famously bungled. Unfortunately, mere seconds after this solemn event, NPR seized the opportunity to publish a hit piece suggesting that the Trump team engaged in a scuffle with a cemetery worker. The audacity!
According to the liberal outlet, during Trump’s respectful wreath-laying ceremony, two members of his team allegedly clashed with a worker who was merely doing his job by blocking their attempts to take pictures in Arlington’s section 60. It seems the left can’t help but paint a narrative where Trump is the villain, even when he’s honoring the brave who made the ultimate sacrifice. The idea of the former president’s team “verbally abusing” a cemetery worker is as ridiculous as it is unfounded.

In a bold rebuttal, Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, laid out the truth of the matter. He pointed out that a private photographer was indeed allowed at the site, and the only thing blocking Trump’s team from doing their job was an unnamed individual possibly having a bad day. Cheung asserted that there was no altercation as NPR claimed, and suggested that the unnamed person might have been dealing with some mental health issues, a little jab that highlights the absurdity of the situation.
Despite the smear campaign from NPR, the real story unfolded with Trump honoring the 13 soldiers taken too soon during Biden’s chaotic withdrawal. In a touching display, Chery Juels, the aunt of one of those soldiers, praised Trump for taking the time to not only lay flowers at the graves but to engage with the families and listen to their heartbreaking stories. She painted a stark contrast between Trump’s respectful presence and Biden’s notorious neglect of the Abbey Gate Gold Star Families over the last three years.
Juels didn’t just stop at sharing her gratitude; she called Trump’s visit “monumental,” expressing how the former president made those grieving families feel valued and cared for during a time of profound sorrow. Even Chris LaCivita, a senior advisor to Trump, weighed in, condemning the cemetery worker for their disgraceful behavior. He underscored that Trump’s invitation to honor the fallen should never have been interrupted by anyone trying to play the hero on hallowed ground.
It’s clear that the left, with their relentless narrative-spinning, will stop at nothing to tarnish Trump’s image—even when he’s striving to act with dignity and respect. The hypocrisy is palpable, as they consistently ignore the real issues surrounding this administration while fabricating drama where there is none. As the election approaches, these attempts will likely ramp up, but if history has taught anything, it’s that the American people are wise to these tactics.
