Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell could be mistaken for a Ukrainian citizen, given his recent actions. He seems more interested in serving Ukraine than the American people. Perhaps he should consider relocating and using their tax dollars to fund his endeavors.
McConnell’s latest move reveals his true political leanings and allegiances. Rather than focusing on protecting the United States from invasion, he voted in favor of a $95 billion foreign aid bill that sends over $60 billion to Ukraine. It’s a deal that reeks of personal gain, rather than genuine concern for our nation.

Joining in on the criticism is Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, who has become a vocal opponent of the corrupt elites colluding with Ukraine. Johnson explained how McConnell initially expressed support for funding Ukraine, but public opinion and the strong rhetoric about securing our own border before spending billions on Ukraine had an impact. McConnell had a change of heart and decided to make a stand on border security, demanding that it be included in the funding for Ukraine.
However, McConnell secretly negotiated a bill that turned out to be an immigration bill, instead of a bill focused on border security. Johnson expressed his disappointment in McConnell’s actions, stating that he had breached his leadership position and betrayed the American people who want a secure border.
McConnell’s actions are neglectful and put our national security at risk. By insisting that we continue funding Ukraine, he is essentially holding a gun to the heads of Americans, threatening that our own border will remain open if we don’t comply. This behavior is impeachable, as McConnell is acting against the best interests of our country.
Sen. Johnson and other Republicans are speaking out against McConnell’s betrayal, as they cannot be complicit in his actions. The frustration among Americans is growing, and many are turning to social media platforms like TikTok to express their anger and even suggest refraining from paying taxes as a form of protest (Note: Don’t actually do this). It is clear that our government is dysfunctional and operated by individuals who care more about personal gain than the well-being of our nation.
McConnell’s recent speech about securing America’s borders is laughable. We won’t act because we urge him to prioritize securing our own border before any further funding is committed to Ukraine. We also demand an accounting of the funding already sent to Ukraine. Only when these conditions are met, to the satisfaction of the American people, can we entertain any further recommendations from McConnell.
It’s time for McConnell to close the bank, as his self-serving plan is no longer welcomed. The American people deserve better and will not stand for his betrayal.
