The Constitution is perfectly clear about the federal government’s role in dealing with illegal immigration. Article IV, Section 4 states that the government is responsible for protecting each state against invasion. But it seems like President Joe Biden and his Democratic henchmen in Congress are totally fine with sitting back while our southern border is overrun by illegal immigrants and criminal cartels. They’re all talk and no action when it comes to protecting U.S. citizens.

So, what are Texas counties doing about it? Oh, just taking matters into their own hands and declaring the border crisis an “invasion.” You go, Lone Star State!
The judges and commissioners of Bandera, Schleicher, and Uvalde counties are the latest to join this movement, invoking both the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution. They ain’t messing around, folks. They’re even using the Lone Star State governor’s power to command its military forces to “suppress insurrection and to repel invasions.”
And trust us, these Texas officials aren’t backing down. They’re making it crystal clear that the invasion is unsustainable and threatening the lives of their citizens. They’re sending a powerful message that they won’t sit idly by while Washington twiddles its thumbs and does nothing.
In fact, almost 20 percent of the 254 counties in Texas have declared the border crisis an “invasion.” That’s huge! And it’s not just a few scattered counties making noise; 50 of them have taken a stand against this madness.
The Biden administration is doing everything BUT what it should be doing. Instead of cracking down on illegal immigration and securing the border, the administration is challenging Texas’ efforts to arrest and deport illegal immigrants. And get this, they’re even petitioning the Supreme Court over a makeshift border fence in Texas, claiming it hinders Border Patrol agents’ ability to “arrest and detain” illegal immigrants. Seriously?
It doesn’t end there. The administration is urging Republicans to embrace amnesty for illegal immigrants as a solution. Absurd, right? Meanwhile, some Democrats are scrambling to enforce the law while others are worrying about a government shutdown over immigration policies.
Look, the bottom line is that the Biden administration and the Democrats are failing to uphold their responsibility to protect American citizens from invasion. And Texas officials are saying, “Enough is enough.” They’re stepping up to the plate to defend their state and their people, no matter what Washington bureaucrats have to say about it.
It’s about time everyone inside the Beltway starts listening because Texas isn’t backing down, and the American people are behind them 100 percent.
There’s no denying it – the border crisis is an invasion, and it’s time for real action to protect our country. Period.
