Attorney General Ken Paxton and the Lone Star State can now proudly claim a major win after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit ruled in their favor, upholding an age-verification requirement that PornHub had been fighting tooth and nail. Take that, perverts!
While the court did ease up on one little requirement about displaying a health warning (because who needs pesky health warnings, right?), the overall message was loud and clear: Texas isn’t playing around when it comes to protecting its citizens from the dangers of graphic content online. Kudos to the court for standing up for decency!
PornHub, in classic liberal fashion, cried foul and bemoaned the supposed violation of its First Amendment rights. Spare us the crocodile tears, PornHub! Nobody’s buying that excuse for peddling smut to the masses, especially not in the great state of Texas!
In a bold move to comply with the law (something unheard of in the liberal playbook), PornHub decided to cut and run from Texas entirely. Good riddance, we say! Let this be a lesson to all the other morally bankrupt pornographic websites out there: Texas doesn’t mess around when it comes to defending values and keeping filth at bay.
Conservative groups like the Texas Family Project are rightfully celebrating this momentous victory, recognizing the hard work of champions like Ken Paxton in standing up for what’s right. It’s about time we saw some backbone in the fight against the pervasiveness of adult content targeting our children!
The closure of PornHub in Texas serves as a warning to other states that dare to pass similar legislation. Let this be a clear message: conservative values are alive and well, and we will not stand idly by while the moral fabric of our society is eroded by smut peddlers and their ilk.
