Morgan Mesi, a transgender individual from none other than the progressive hotspot of Chicago, is suing her former employer over a little thing called “breast removal surgery.” And what’s even more shocking than the surgery itself is the fact that her employer had the audacity to refuse to foot the bill for it.

Now, Mesi claims that she underwent a gender transition back in 2016 and had the whole shebang of surgeries and treatments planned out for the following year. But guess what? When she asked her employer to cover the cost of her little “gender-affirming health care” as she calls it, they flat out refused.
Mesi is also suing her union for not giving the green light to her demands for coverage.She’s out here asking everyone else to pay for her personal choices.
Now, she’s gone so far as to claim that the company violated an array of laws, including the federal Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Can you imagine the nerve of accusing a company of discrimination just because they didn’t want to pay for her elective surgery?
The company has categorically denied any allegations of discrimination and even pointed to its fancy diversity programs as proof of their commitment to transgender employees.
