Trump Announces Full Declassification of JFK Assassination Files Tomorrow

Donald Trump has made waves again, this time with a bold announcement that the long-awaited declassification of all remaining documents related to John F. Kennedy’s assassination will occur tomorrow. It seems Trump believes it’s about time that Americans get the full scoop on what really happened that fateful day in Dallas back in 1963. He pointed out that after decades of waiting, it’s high time the proverbial curtain gets pulled back on this tragic chapter in American history. His announcement comes courtesy of a team, including the not-so-quiet Tulsi Gabbard, who has taken on the task with the diligence of a squirrel preparing for winter.

This move comes after Trump’s executive order in January, aiming to declassify not just the JFK files but also documents surrounding the assassinations of his brother Robert F. Kennedy and civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. In typical government fashion, the declassification took its sweet time, with the FBI only recently stumbling upon roughly 2,400 more records connected to Kennedy’s assassination. Looks like they might have been collecting dust in a corner of some bureaucratic office for all these years.

America’s love affair with conspiracy theories isn’t a recent phenomenon. The public has been riddled with questions about the circumstances surrounding the assassination, particularly since the Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Many still find that hard to swallow, believing rather that there were other parties involved—perhaps even a whole cast of characters. Multiple sources hint at possible CIA operations and government involvement, a tantalizing notion that has kept conspiracy theorists’ hearts racing for years.

Interestingly, Oswald’s brief time in the world came to an abrupt end when nightclub owner Jack Ruby decided to play vigilante while Oswald was in police custody. This plot twist only fueled the flames, adding layers of intrigue to a scenario filled with whispers of cover-ups and shifty government agencies. Who benefits from hiding documents around such a historical event? Therein lies the rub. It’s time for the government to stop burying its head in the sand and stop pretending there’s nothing to see here.

Historically, the fight for full transparency regarding JFK’s assassination records has seen its fair share of drama. While the 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act promised public access by 2017, exceptions for national security needs often meant that more was hidden than revealed. Throughout his presidency, Trump authorized several document releases but allowed intelligence agencies to keep certain files under wraps. Fast forward to the Biden administration, where similar excuses were floated, such as the pandemic’s interference with “normal” government functions. But who’s keeping track of that, right?

With the anticipation surrounding the release of these documents, researchers and historians are licking their lips at the possibility of finally seeing what is hidden away in those classified vaults. Speculation abounds that the hidden files could expose fascinating details about important Cold War operations or even foreign involvement in the events of that dark day. The time for the truth to come out is now, not just for historical records, but to hold accountable those who might have let hard truths remain concealed. Who wouldn’t want to know the skeletons lurking in the governmental closet?
