Trump Countdown Begins Biden HHS Criticized for Identity Politics Focus

It seems the countdown to January 20 has officially kicked off, with just 41 days left until President-elect Donald Trump retakes the Oval Office. It’s a countdown that the Biden-Harris administration is surely wishing would be postponed, considering their record. With a penchant for embarrassment, particularly in their social media outreach, this administration has been anything but professional. A prime example? The Department of Health and Human Services felt it necessary to wish everyone a “Happy Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day.” Yes, this is a thing, and it’s exactly what taxpayers expect from government agencies.

The “celebration” of this day was highlighted by a post that called for a world where everyone feels accepted—no matter their romantic preferences. Just what Americans needed in their timeline: another reminder of the government’s obsession with identity politics, coupled with a rainbow emoji for good measure. Traditionally, government entities are supposed to focus on the pressing issues facing citizens, like national security and health care, rather than which way people lean on the sexual spectrum. But then, who needs a competent healthcare system when you can have a rainbow-colored agenda instead?

This rather puzzling post has garnished nearly 8 million views, which sounds impressive until you realize it has received only a measly 680 likes. It seems the vast majority of internet users don’t share the enthusiasm for such “celebrations” as those behind the HHS hoped. Many citizens have taken to social media to voice their relief that this administration will soon be a thing of the past, echoing sentiments about how much they look forward to returning to normalcy, whatever that means after this far-left circus.

In a further blow to the credibility of the HHS, even its top leadership, Secretary Xavier Becerra and the infamous Rachel Levine, failed to promote the festivities. Given Becerra’s lack of any real healthcare experience and Levine’s overzealous crusade for an agenda rather than actual public service, their silence speaks volumes. Perhaps they realized that pandering to pansexuality in December might not resonate with the average American who’s dealing with inflation, border security, and the fallout of the pandemic rather than their sexual identity.

As the Biden administration continues to awkwardly embrace identity politics, many Americans are more concerned about practical issues. With billions in taxpayer dollars flowing to dubious organizations and a compromised vetting process for refugee children, one must wonder how much time HHS has wasted on this unnecessary PR stunt. However, hope remains that under the incoming Trump administration, led by the prospective new HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., focus will finally return to actual health and safety issues rather than what happens behind closed doors. If only the previous administration had redirected just a fraction of that energy into the nation’s tangible problems.
