In yet another outrageous display of partisan politics, the attorneys for former President Donald Trump are requesting the Supreme Court to step in and dismiss the election interference case against him based on presidential immunity. And you know what? They’re absolutely right to do so!

It’s clear that this whole case is nothing more than a politically motivated witch hunt. The American people deserve a speedy and fair verdict, not a desperate attempt to influence the 2024 Presidential election. It’s no surprise that the Special Counsel is trying to bring Trump to trial before November 5, 2024, because they know he’s the leading Republican candidate. They want to take him down before he has a chance to make America great again!
What’s truly mind-boggling is the audacity of the Special Counsel’s conduct. They waited nearly three years to charge President Trump, only to now violate every norm and rush the trial. This is nothing but a desperate, partisan ploy to influence the outcome of the election. It’s shameful and goes against everything our justice system should stand for.
Let’s not forget the ridiculous charges that have been brought against Trump. “Conspiracy to defraud the United States”? Give me a break! These baseless accusations are nothing more than an attempt to criminalize his efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election. And as for the alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol? It’s a blatant effort to vilify him and discredit his supporters.
Trump’s attorneys are absolutely right to ask for the Supreme Court to step in. The D.C. Circuit’s decision to proceed with the trial without considering an en banc review is ill-considered and goes against the normal practice. En banc review is an essential part of the judicial process, and it should not be denied in this case.
It’s time for the Supreme Court to uphold justice and put an end to this politically motivated attack on our former President. The American people are tired of these partisan games and deserve better. Let’s hope the Supreme Court does the right thing and dismisses this baseless case once and for all.
