President Trump took a huge step to fix American schools by signing an order to shut down the Department of Education. After 45 years of federal control, states and parents will finally decide how kids learn. This move stops Washington bureaucrats from pushing radical ideas and wasting taxpayer money.
The Department of Education cost over $3 trillion since 1979 but failed students. Test scores are terrible—60% of fourth graders can’t do basic math, and 70% of eighth graders can’t read well. Trump said, “We’re giving education back to the states where it belongs.” This will save money and let local leaders teach kids without federal rules.
