This wasn’t just a casual Sunday chat; it was a demonstration of commitment to rectifying what many conservatives perceive as a glaring injustice. On the heels of this announcement, President Trump did exactly what everyone predicted and issued a pardon for those involved in the January 6 protests, much to the dismay of the leftist media who painted the Trump-Vance administration as a chaotic ship without a captain.
The liberal media saw this decision as an opportunity to whip up a scandal, with headlines like one from HuffPost declaring Trump’s mass pardon went beyond Republican desires. Apparently, forgiving those charged in a protest is far more scandalous than the laundry list of pardons handed out by President Biden, particularly to his own family. Vance, despite his previously stated desire for a more measured approach, was reportedly working tirelessly on this issue behind the scenes during the transition, showcasing his dedication to the cause before he even took office. Meanwhile, the left continues to clutch their pearls over an act of justice while conveniently ignoring the colossal hypocrisy of Bidden’s pardons.
According to insiders, Vance was a vocal supporter for broad pardons for the January 6 “protestors” — since they were labeled as “hostages” by his supporters. In a classic case of liberal overreach, they attempted to spin Vance’s statements against him, highlighting how he had claimed a broad pardon might not be appropriate just days before. But isn’t it adorable how the left chooses their interpretations? They seem to forget that the government’s treatment of those involved in January 6 has been heavily criticized for its partisanship.

Even Democrats are getting a taste of this swampy media carnival. Senator Tim Kaine grumbled about the pardons handed out by Biden, while also criticizing Trump. But before the left gets too smug, it’s worth pointing out that they failed spectacularly in their campaign against Trump, largely because voters recognize the double standards in how they treat different types of so-called criminals. While the Democrats may have hoped to use January 6 as their winning theme for 2024, it appears that most Americans have already turned the page on that chapter, prioritizing the issues hitting their wallets instead.
