Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says America needs to get back to building. The Trump administration wants our nation to once again be known for creating jobs, making things and standing strong. Bessent says America has the workers, the skills and the energy – what we need now is the policies to make it happen.
Bessent is a global investment expert who knows how economies work. As Treasury secretary, he’s pushing policies to protect American businesses from unfair foreign competition. He wants tariffs to stop countries like China from cheating us out of jobs. This isn’t about politics – it’s about putting America first.
The administration’s “Make America Build Again” plan targets taxes and regulations that slow down growth. Bessent says we need to cut red tape and lower taxes so companies can invest in new factories, new technology and new jobs. When America builds, everyone prospers – from workers to small towns.

Critics like Chuck Schumer say the accounts threaten seniors. But the White House insists it’s about giving families tools to save for retirement and healthcare. “This isn’t a zero-sum game,” Bessent tweeted. “We need more prosperity, not less.”
Conservatives cheer Bessent’s bold approach to economic freedom. Cutting taxes, reducing regulations and supporting American-made goods are core values of limited government. These policies let market forces – not bureaucrats – decide what works best.
