Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got caught red-handed in another ethics scandal. The radical congresswoman has been pretending her boyfriend Riley Roberts is her husband for years. They are not legally married, but AOC has been giving him all the perks of being a congressional spouse.
The House Ethics Committee just released a damning report about AOC’s dishonest behavior. She listed Roberts as her spouse on official forms even though they are only engaged. This let him get special access to restricted areas of Congress with a fake spouse pin.
Roberts has been living like a congressman’s husband since 2019 without actually being married to AOC. He got VIP treatment at fancy events like the Met Gala on the taxpayers’ dime. The committee found that AOC broke the rules and must pay back thousands in fines.
This is classic AOC behavior – bending the rules to benefit herself and her inner circle. She talks big about ethics and transparency but can’t follow basic disclosure requirements. Her lawyer tried to defend the scheme by claiming Roberts doesn’t count as a spouse.
The socialist squad member has been playing house with taxpayer benefits for her live-in boyfriend. She gave Roberts congressional privileges that are meant only for actual spouses. This shows the arrogance of the radical left who think rules don’t apply to them.
AOC built her career on attacking the establishment for corruption and special deals. Now she’s caught doing the exact same thing with her fake husband arrangement. The hypocrisy is stunning even by Democrat standards.
Working families follow the rules and pay their taxes honestly. Meanwhile, AOC games the system to get freebies for her boyfriend at fancy galas. She owes Americans an apology for this ethics mess.
This scandal shows why we can’t trust the radical left with power. They promise to drain the swamp but end up wallowing in it themselves. AOC’s fake husband scam is just the latest proof that Democrats are all about special privileges for the elite.
