In a stunning display of political theater, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once again tried to vilify the good folks protecting our borders. She took to social media to accuse Trump-era officials, like Tom Homan, of breaking the law. AOC, always quick to point fingers, seems to forget who keeps our communities safe. Spoiler alert: It’s not her or her leftist allies.
Now, whether you love or hate the former president, it’s hard to deny the facts: the Trump administration had tangible success with border security. The Democrats, including AOC, would rather dismantle the very institutions that uphold the law. What they’re offering is chaos and lawlessness while attacking those who’ve served under multiple presidents. And guess what? It shows a stunning lack of respect for the sacrifices made by hard-working officers like Homan.

Ocasio-Cortez’s reasoning is classic liberal contradiction. She demands accountability from everyone but her own side, stirring up trouble without presenting any real solutions. Her idea of leadership is making threats on Instagram and blaming others while hiding behind vague accusations and fear-mongering tactics. Advocating for open borders and then turning around to slander those who enforce the laws is peak hypocrisy.
Moreover, in places like New York, it’s ICE and similar agencies that keep streets clear of dangerous criminals, not the fear-mongering social media rants from AOC. It’s amusing to think that AOC should be applauding these agencies for protecting her constituents, yet her disdain for anything associated with Trump blinds her to the realities.
In the end, who truly supports the American people, the individuals who risk their lives keeping our borders safe, or the lawmakers who grandstand for followers and likes? This administration should focus on real solutions, not tick-tock theatrics. Love your community more than you hate your political rivals, AOC—it’s called leadership.
