It seems that Bank of America is not the only financial institution that has voluntarily given up its customers’ data to the FBI without a warrant. Citigroup, PNC Financial Services, JPMorgan Chase & Company, Truist, Wells Fargo, and U.S. Bankcorp are now under scrutiny and may have also compromised customer privacy rights. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust Chairman Thomas Massie are leading the investigation into this matter and have sent letters to the executives of these financial institutions, demanding communication documents from January 1, 2021 to the present. If these banks fail to comply voluntarily, they will receive subpoenas for the information with a deadline of June 26, 2023.

This is yet another example of the federal government blatantly disregarding Americans’ privacy rights. It’s clear the Biden Administration and the FBI are willing to trample on the Constitution and violate the rights of American citizens to target individuals who support Donald Trump. The fact that banks voluntarily handed over data without a warrant or legal process shows an alarming disregard for the Fourth Amendment and due process.

Conservatives across the country have long known that we can’t trust liberals with our personal information. This is just another example where private companies are willing to side with liberal elites and their authoritarian tactics over the rights of their own customers. It’s important to remember this when we choose where to put our trust (and our money). We must stand up for our constitutional rights and demand accountability from these financial institutions. We deserve to know if our private data was given to the FBI without our consent, just because we exercise our First Amendment right to free speech and peaceful assembly.
