Many are left asking: do Biden and Harris even remember what their job entails? It appears they are more fixated on side shows than genuine leadership—particularly as we gear up for what could be the most intriguing January in U.S. history.
Somehow, even while Biden nears the end of his term, the President-elect, Donald Trump, operates as if he’s already in charge. His ability to draw both praise and ire is as reliable as the sunrise. Trump is already engaging with foreign leaders, establishing his tough-on-crime policies, and—in a novel twist—actually acting like someone who wants to put America first. Meanwhile, Biden and Harris seem more preoccupied with their own crises of competence, like spinning a web around the Hunter Biden saga rather than focusing on pressing national matters.

Instead, he leaves the heavy lifting to others, all while Kamala Harris, with all her middle-class empathy, looks on, twiddling her thumbs as she contemplates her own political future. If they are truly committed to their grand ambitions for America, now would be the time to roll up their sleeves, not coast out of office like it’s a senior prom.
Instead of addressing Americans’ concerns, the Biden-Harris duo appears to be “quiet quitting”—a new term that seems more fitting for disgruntled employees than for people in high office. Between the two of them, it seems clear that a significant chunk of their priorities focuses more on saving face with the media than tackling economic woes or border chaos. This lack of urgency is not just perplexing; it could have devastating consequences for America’s standing on the global stage.
Imagine this hypothetical scenario: a president in a state of scarcely-interfacing-with-reality and a vice president more inebriated than invested. Any enterprising adversary would be rubbing their hands with glee, envisioning a free-for-all while the U.S. government is too busy folding into itself.
