President Joe Biden is at it again, folks! He’s about to ask Congress for another big ol’ aid package for Ukraine. According to Punchbowl News, this one could be “north of $10 billion.” Can you believe it? That’s a whole lot of taxpayer dollars going overseas.

But hey, I guess Ukraine needs our help, right? They’re still trying to fend off those pesky Russians, and apparently, America and our NATO buddies are all about supporting them. So why not throw more money their way?
A majority of Americans have increasingly soured on sending more aid to Ukraine to help its protracted conflict with Russia, a poll released Friday has found. https://t.co/0SkurHZn6S

The Army’s acquisition chief says that the Department of Defense is working on a funding package to restock our own weapon supplies after we gave so many to Ukraine. I don’t know about you, but it seems a little backwards to me. Shouldn’t we be taking care of our own defense before worrying about Ukraine’s?
And get this, folks. We’ve already given Ukraine over $110 billion in aid. That’s billion with a “B.” Yet, some House Republicans have had enough and voted to cut off funding in July. Good for them! We need more politicians who aren’t afraid to stand up for fiscal responsibility.
But of course, there’s always someone on the other side. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell thinks we should give even more money to Ukraine. He’s not too happy with the current defense spending limits, and he wants a “robust” aid package. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather see that money spent on something closer to home.
It looks like the American people aren’t too thrilled about more aid for Ukraine either. A recent poll showed that a majority of Americans oppose sending more money over there. Can you blame them? We’ve got our own problems to deal with, like a president who can’t handle the war in Ukraine, Russia, or our relationship with China.
So get ready, folks. Biden is about to hit up Congress for another hefty aid package. Let’s hope our representatives have the sense to say no and start putting America first.
