However, various poll aggregators present a more nuanced view of the current polling data. According to FiveThirtyEight, Biden is ahead of former President Donald Trump in two of the most recent five surveys, with Trump leading in another two and the pair tied in another one. RealClearPolitics also provides varying results, showing Biden ahead in two of the latest head-to-head polls with Trump, but Trump leading in the remaining three. The inclusion of independent candidates further complicates the polling data, with different combinations yielding differing results.
The White House declined to address these discrepancies, redirecting inquiries to Biden’s campaign. Previous White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has defended Biden’s polling numbers, attributing his purported effectiveness to his understanding of American concerns regarding the economy and healthcare costs.
