In a recent speech, President Joe Biden stumbled and bumbled his way through a discussion on late-term abortion. It’s no surprise that the Democrats have been pushing the abortion agenda since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. But Biden took it a step further by claiming that Republicans are planning a national ban on the right to choose. He even went as far as vowing to veto such a ban if it were to pass.

But then Biden put his foot in his mouth when he tried to clarify his stance on late-term abortion. He attempted to use the Trump campaign’s claim that he supports abortion on demand, but argued that it wasn’t true because that’s not what Roe v. Wade says. He went on to mention the three trimesters of pregnancy, effectively admitting that he supports late-term abortions.
It’s no secret that Democrats are notorious for dodging questions about late-term abortion. Remember Stacey Abrams, the failed gubernatorial candidate from Georgia? When asked about late-term abortion, she refused to reject abortions taking place up to the point of birth. And let’s not forget California Governor Gavin Newsom, who gave a similarly evasive response when questioned about the matter.
It’s clear that Democrats are trying to hide their true beliefs on abortion. By avoiding a direct answer, they are essentially saying that they fully support abortion up until birth. If that’s not the case, why don’t they just say so? The Democrats even tried to enshrine the ruling of Roe v. Wade into law at the national level, allowing for abortion up to the point of birth. Every Democratic senator, except for Joe Manchin, voted in favor of it.
Fortunately, the filibuster prevented Democrats from passing the bill, but their true intentions were crystal clear. They wanted to legalize abortion nationwide with no limits. And it’s doubtful that Biden would have vetoed such a bill if it had landed on his desk. Republicans need to highlight the extreme positions of their Democratic opponents when it comes to abortion. If the Democrats want to make abortion a central issue in the upcoming election, they should be ready for a fierce battle.
It’s evident that Biden’s gaffe was no accident. He may have tried to pretend he doesn’t support late-term abortion, but it’s clear where his true loyalties lie. It’s time to expose the Democrats’ extreme stance on this issue and fight for the rights of the unborn. As a conservative, it’s important to ensure that the sanctity of life is protected. We cannot allow late-term abortions to continue unchecked.
