On Thursday, Joe Biden made a trip to the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Maryland. Biden was there to talk about how pharmaceutical companies would be forced to pay rebates to Medicare because of rising prices on prescription drugs. Now, you might think this is a good idea – making the companies pay for their greed.

First of all, Biden couldn’t even explain himself properly. His remarks were all over the place, leaving the audience more confused than ever. It’s clear that he doesn’t have a solid grasp on the critical issues at hand.
Instead of relying on government mandates, we should be looking for free-market solutions. Competition among pharmaceutical companies will drive down prices naturally, without the need for government interference.
It’s not surprising that Biden’s been criticized for his unclear statements and verbal gaffes throughout his time in office. He’s just not fit to be president. We need someone who can communicate clearly and effectively, someone who understands the complexities of the issues at hand.
So, while Biden may have made a big show at the National Institutes of Health, his lack of understanding and incoherent remarks only highlight the fact that he’s not the leader we need. We need someone who can actually solve the problem of rising prescription drug costs, not just make empty promises and confuse everyone in the process.
