A whopping 76% of registered voters in the Tar Heel State have identified inflation as a top priority for lawmakers in Washington, D.C. And it’s no wonder, with President Joe Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in the polls by 3 percentage points.
In 2020, Trump clinched North Carolina by a 1.4% margin. Now, Biden is angling to turn the traditionally red state blue, but it seems his inflated promises aren’t helping his cause. Barack Obama was the last Democratic candidate to secure North Carolina in 2008, and it’s clear that Biden’s uphill battle just got steeper.

And as voters head to the polls, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Biden’s economic agenda isn’t sitting well in swing states like North Carolina.
