The situation in Ukraine is no laughing matter, yet it seems the dynamic duo of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are treating it like a Sunday stroll. While the Kremlin flexes its muscles, the U.S. seems content to play the waiting game.
Despite increasing pressure from their party to ease the restrictions on how Ukraine can utilize U.S. weapons, Biden and Harris remain frozen in inaction. One has to wonder if they’re waiting for the perfect moment to strike—perhaps during an ice cream social or a high-stakes game of bingo. With the world watching, this leisurely approach to international conflict raises eyebrows and concerns among many Americans who want a swift and decisive response.

Democrats are getting twitchy. As Russia pushes for a stronger hand, even some within the party are starting to question Biden’s reluctance to give Ukraine the full support it needs. It’s almost as if the President is hoping that if he ignores the situation long enough, it will just go away—similar to the way liberals wish their economic problems would magically vanish with more spending. The growing demands from fellow Democrats highlight an escalating frustration with the current administration’s lackadaisical strategy.
While countries around the world are gearing up to throw their weight behind Ukraine, our leaders are content to sit on the sidelines. The image of Biden and Harris burying their heads in the sand is not foreign to many who have watched this administration’s playbook unfold. Every day that passes with no decisive action gives Russia a clearer path to dominate the region. Yet, just the thought of lifting the restrictions seems like a heavy lift for the administration.
It might be time for the dynamic duo to dust off their decision-making hats and get with the program. The last thing anyone wants is for moments of weakness to be seen as opportunities by adversaries who would love nothing more than to exploit them. The world does not take kindly to half-measures, especially from a superpower that should be leading the charge.
