The White House revealed with much fanfare that Kate Cox, a woman embroiled in a contentious abortion case in Texas, has graciously accepted an invitation to attend President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address. You see, Biden has vowed to make abortion the centerpiece of his 2024 campaign, because apparently there aren’t enough pressing issues in the country to focus on. Cox is currently involved in a lawsuit against the state of Texas, trying to challenge a law that prevents her from aborting her 20-week-old child. She claims that her baby has Trisomy 18, a medical condition. But let’s not get bogged down with the details; the real story here is Biden’s desperate attempt to pander to the pro-abortion crowd.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the announcement during a press briefing, where she declared that the president and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden had extended the invitation to Cox. According to Jean-Pierre, the Bidens had a phone call with Cox, where they thanked her for her “courage” and for speaking out against Texas’ “extreme” abortion ban. Give me a break. The only thing extreme here is Biden’s obsession with dismantling any and all restrictions on abortion. It’s clear that this invitation is nothing more than a political move to signal to the radical pro-choice lobby that he’s their guy.

It’s worth noting that Cox was initially granted a stay of the law by a court in December, but the state’s Supreme Court later overturned that decision. So, she took matters into her own hands by leaving Texas to obtain an abortion. And now she’s being hailed as a hero by the Biden administration. How convenient. This is yet another example of the left trying to circumvent the will of the people and push their radical agenda through the courts. Instead of respecting the democratic process, they resort to judicial activism to achieve their goals.
But this isn’t just a one-off for Biden. He has been steadfast in his commitment to championing abortion rights. Just a few days ago, the White House commemorated the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, and Biden called on Congress to enshrine abortion rights into federal law. It’s clear that he sees this as a winning issue for him in the 2024 election. His campaign manager even declared that abortion would be “front and center” during the campaign. Because apparently, there’s nothing more important than ensuring unrestricted access to abortion on demand.
In fact, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris recently held a campaign event in Virginia, where they touted “reproductive justice.” It’s ironic that they use the phrase “justice” to describe the killing of innocent unborn children. But that’s the twisted logic of the pro-choice movement. They equate the right to end a pregnancy with fundamental human rights, conveniently ignoring the rights of the unborn. Biden had the audacity to blame Donald Trump and his Supreme Court for “ripping away the rights and freedoms of women in America.” Sorry, but protecting the lives of the most vulnerable among us is not an assault on women’s rights. It’s a moral imperative.
So, while Biden may think he’s scoring political points by cozying up to the pro-abortion crowd, he’s ignoring the silent majority of Americans who believe in the sanctity of life. All this invitation to Kate Cox does is reinforce the fact that Biden is more concerned with pandering to the extreme left than with addressing the pressing issues facing our nation. It’s a sad day when the leader of our country prioritizes abortion over issues like the economy, national security, and education. But that’s the reality we’re living in with this administration. God help us.
