When you think things can’t get any crazier in D.C., a foreign-born Biden judge throws a wrench into the wheels of justice with a ruling that’s as baffling as it is infuriating. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, in an opinion more theatrical than reasoned, decided to halt a federal investigation into Media Matters—a group notorious for bullying conservative voices. Apparently, according to the so-called legal wisdom of this judge, an alleged campaign to intimidate advertisers and silence free speech on a major social media platform is merely First Amendment activity.
Elon Musk’s lawsuit against Media Matters uncovered shocking claims about orchestrating advertiser boycotts against the platform X. Yet, Sooknanan, an appointee from Biden’s last chaotic days in office, sees nothing but rainbows and free speech in actions that many would rightly see as anticompetitive and potentially illegal. This decision comes on the back of previous senseless rulings that curbed state investigations from Texas and Missouri into Media Matters’ actions.

This isn’t the first time Sooknanan has raised eyebrows, either. Her quick rise after moving to the U.S. at 16 and her far-left leanings were already revealed during her Senate confirmation hearings. Despite getting confirmed in a narrow and late-hour vote, her disdain for conservative values couldn’t have been clearer. This is someone who seems to be running interference not just for Media Matters but for any liberal cause that bleeds through her courtroom.
The question one dares to ask is why the GOP sat idle, watching yet another radical enabler take control of shaking the foundations of our justice system. This is the same judge who twisted legal precepts to block investigations purely on assumptions about the motives rather than the actions taken. With Sooknanan at the helm, any conservative watchdog must wonder if there’s any point in pursuing accountability when liberal forces hold the judicial gavel.
America needs truth and justice upheld, not held hostage by politically motivated decisions that thwart real investigations. Judge Sooknanan’s ruling is an insult to those who stand up for free speech and lawfulness. If we’re going to restore law and order, it’s time to stop placing judges on benches who prioritize ideology over truth. Who will stand up for the real victims of this judicial charade?
