President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address last night was nothing more than a shameless plea for the radical left to keep him on their good side. The speech was packed with blatant pandering and attacks aimed at conservatives, and it’s clear that Biden’s top priority is not the American people, but rather securing his own political future.
Biden relentlessly bashed his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, seemingly unable to let go of his obsession with blaming Trump for everything. He also shamelessly pushed his outlandish climate policies that are putting hardworking Americans out of their jobs and driving up energy costs across the nation. Not to mention his absurd plans for expanding the government and raising taxes, which sound like they were ripped straight from Bernie Sanders’s playbook. It’s obvious that Biden has completely abandoned any pretense of bipartisanship and is solely focused on appeasing the most extreme elements of his party.

The most concerning part of Biden’s address, however, is his desperate attempt to cling to power within the Democratic Party. He knows that the far-left wing is increasingly dissatisfied with him, and he’s petrified that they could sabotage his chances in the upcoming election. This fear was palpable in his address, as he shamelessly threw the rest of the country under the bus in a pathetic attempt to win over his own party.
Biden’s speech was a disgraceful display of political maneuvering and a slap in the face to the American people. It’s clear that he’s more concerned with his own political survival than actually addressing the needs of the nation. His blatant disregard for the concerns of the American people in favor of pandering to the far left is a troubling sign of what’s to come from the Biden administration.
