President Joe Biden is packing his bags and heading to Detroit, Michigan, to join striking United Auto Workers members on the picket line. UAW President Shawn Fain extended the invitation to Biden after announcing an expansion of the strike against the “Big Three” auto manufacturers. Biden eagerly accepted the invitation, tweeting, “Tuesday, I’ll go to Michigan to join the picket line and stand in solidarity with the men and women of UAW as they fight for a fair share of the value they helped create.”
Now, some might call this a noble gesture, but let’s not be fooled by the political theatrics. Biden’s visit to Detroit is nothing more than a cheap photo op and a desperate attempt to appease his liberal base. He’s trying to position himself as a champion for the working class, but his actions speak louder than words.
The truth is, Biden’s visit is entirely meaningless unless he addresses the real issues facing the auto industry. His support for the Insane EV Mandate and the Green New Deal are clear indications that he cares more about his extremist liberal agenda than he does about the hard-working auto workers in Michigan and across the country.
Let’s not forget that it was former President Donald Trump who fought tirelessly to protect American jobs and revive the auto industry. Biden is simply riding on Trump’s coattails and trying to take credit for his successes. But we see through his charade.
So, while Biden poses for photo ops and makes empty promises, the American people are left wondering when he will actually take real action to support the men and women who power our economy. We need a leader who will put America first, not one who is beholden to the Radical Left Eco-Loons in California. Sorry, Biden, but your trip to Detroit won’t fool us.
