White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications made an appearance at the daily press briefing on Wednesday, and boy, did he have a lot of explaining to do! The Biden administration’s latest move to trade five American prisoners in Iran for five Iranians AND a whopping $6 billion in cash from frozen Iranian accounts in South Korea had tongues wagging and fingers pointing.
Now, the Biden folks are trying to downplay this whole thing, claiming it’s not a ransom payment at all. They swear up and down that it’s not taxpayer dollars being thrown around like confetti. But come on, really? Does anyone actually buy that? I mean, we all know how well the administration keeps their promises. Just look at the border crisis!
But here’s the real kicker – when asked whether this new influx of cash could be used by the terrorist regime to launch attacks against Americans or oppress the Iranian people, Kirby basically shrugged his shoulders and said, “Yeah, probably.” Seriously?! They’re admitting that they’re handing over billions of dollars to a regime that has a proven track record of supporting terrorism and abusing its own people. Well, isn’t that just dandy?

And if that wasn’t outrageous enough, Kirby actually had the audacity to justify giving Iran MORE than what the U.S. was getting in return. I mean, who negotiated this deal? Apparently, the Biden administration thinks it’s a great idea to cave in and give the bad guys everything they want, while we’re left with a bag of peanuts. It’s like going to the grocery store, giving the cashier $100, and walking out with nothing but a pack of gum.
But hey, what do I know? I’m just a simple conservative journalist who believes in common sense and not rewarding our enemies with cold hard cash. Call me crazy, but I think it’s time for the Biden administration to wake up and smell the coffee. They can try to spin this all they want, but the truth is crystal clear – they just made a terrible deal that puts American lives at risk and gives Iran a nice big payday. Bravo, guys. Bravo.
