Hunter Biden’s legal troubles have become a never-ending saga, enriched with an impressive cast of questionable behavior ranging from illegal gun possession to various federal tax crimes. Just when one might think he’d face the music, a federal pardon from his father, President Joe Biden, swoops in like a superhero wearing the wrong color cape. The timing couldn’t be more fortuitous for the son, but not so much for the moral high ground his father once claimed.
Interestingly, a little video nugget from the past has resurfaced, showing none other than Donald Trump predicting that Biden would pull out the old pardon card for Hunter. Trump effectively called it: a father’s love—or maybe just political desperation—would lead to a pardon. He hinted that this would come, claiming that the situation surrounding Hunter is indeed a sad one, but let’s face it, when has the Biden family ever let a “sad situation” stand in the way of a good cover-up?

Senator Ted Cruz had a memorable jab, noting that the promise not to pardon has indeed suffered from significant “age.”
