This impromptu physician visit was due to lingering symptoms from a cold, one insider acquainted with Biden’s schedule divulged.
Some might call it bad timing for the President’s health narrative to come under scrutiny, especially when the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre couldn’t dodge enough questions about Biden’s condition post-debate. Despite claims that Biden’s check-up was routine and didn’t include any extensive tests, skepticism abounds.

During the meeting that stretched over an hour and was reportedly filled with rising concerns about President Biden’s overall political health, one governor boldly asked about his physical state. Biden, in a display of bravado, knocked on wood and assured everyone he was in good shape after his recent medical visit. This didn’t exactly silence the quiet murmurs of doubt from his party members.
Democratic heavyweights like New Mexico’s Michelle Lujan Grisham and Maine’s Janet Mills voiced their apprehensions about whether Biden has enough gas left in the tank to carry their states in a future contest. Despite Biden’s previous comfortable win margins in these states, these leaders seem anxious about the shifting political winds.
White House spokesperson Andrew Bates stepped in, confirming Biden’s doctor appointment to The Hill. Bates served up a spoonful of optimism, claiming the President is bouncing back admirably from his cold. But it seems that Biden himself admitted in a radio interview that the debate was tough for him, acknowledging he had a rough night and slipped up, yet insisting that he’s learned to rise after every fall.
