Four years can change everything, and it certainly did for Joe Biden. The Justice Department wrote about President Biden’s memory failing, sparking a clash between the White House and the DOJ. The report, released by special counsel Robert K. Hur, detailed Biden’s mishandling of classified information and questioned his actions while finding no basis for prosecution. But surprise, surprise, the conclusion was that Biden was guilty but not responsible. Classic DC, am I right?
The White House and Biden’s personal lawyers complained to Attorney General Merrick B. Garland about the report’s “disparaging” comments regarding the president’s memory and actions. They argued that these comments violated department policy and practice. But the DOJ’s senior career official, Bradley Weinsheimer, shut down their objections, insisting that the comments in the report fell within the department’s standards for public release.
The letters revealed tensions between the White House and the Justice Department over decisions made by Garland. It’s clear that the Biden administration isn’t too happy with how things went down, especially with the report’s damaging impact. 86 percent of people think Biden is too old, and this report surely didn’t help his case. Rumors are swirling that this is Biden’s “James Comey moment,” where he’s criticized for mishandling state secrets without facing charges. And let’s not forget Biden’s frustration with Garland over the slow progress of Trump investigations. It seems like Biden wanted to abuse the courts and the DOJ to go after his political rival. Oh, the scandal!

Now, Biden’s lawyer, Bob Bauer, has been making bold claims about Biden’s memory but has stopped short of supporting the release of transcripts and audio files from the sensitive interview. The real question here is, will time make this scandal fade away? Well, if history repeats itself, Biden is bound to make another massive mental error before Election Day. After all, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, especially if the old dog is President Biden.
