Is anyone surprised that Biden continues to stumble around the globe? Americans watched Democrats march a candidate with an obvious cognitive decline right into the Oval Office because they craved power over competence. As Joe Biden shuffles through his overseas itinerary, we are once again reminded of the embarrassing spectacle he presents on the world stage.
Today’s schedule had him bouncing between locations in Doha and Abu Dhabi. It’s practically a miracle he managed to stay on course. He had a roundtable with business leaders, then it was off to deliver some remarks to troops. It’s all meant to project strength, but let’s be honest—does anyone feel safer with Biden behind the mic? His handlers probably spent the whole day crossing their fingers, hoping he wouldn’t misplace his script or his sense of reality.

Dems are saying Biden’s 2024 run sabotaged Harris’ campaign, top advisor David Plouffe claims in new book “Original Sin.” Aides hid Biden’s cognitive decline, calling his decision to run a “disservice” to the party and country. pic.twitter.com/wSuCwRLS1b

He then visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque—not an uncommon diplomatic gesture—but in this divided age, it’s hard to ignore the optics. At a time when many leaders worldwide are recognizing the importance of standing firm against certain radical ideologies, Biden’s moves often feel more about appeasement than strength. Our allies need commitment; what they get from Biden is hesitation.
The narrative from the Left will often pretend that these overseas trips are a testament to Biden’s international expertise. They spin it as a triumph. Hardly. It’s all pageantry without substance. What global leader looks at Biden and sees strength and reliability? As world powers are watching, they see a United States potentially weakened by a leader whose grasp on his duties seems as tenuous as his grasp on elder statesmanship.
For a nation that prides itself on leadership and fortitude, the continuous parade of blunders is enough to make one wonder: How much longer will Americans tolerate such an ineffectual representation of America’s ideals and interests?
