According to the latest YouGov poll, only 36% still consider Biden honest and trustworthy. Comparatively, back in April, that number was at 46%. Even the left-leaning media can’t spin this nosedive in public confidence.
The implosion comes when the White House desperately tries to portray Biden as competent and neurologically sound. This has been their mission for years, but the effort to hide his mental decline took a serious hit during the first presidential debate. Sparring with former President Donald Trump on June 27, Biden’s deficiencies were fully displayed for the world. One might say it was a train wreck, but trains usually stay on the tracks longer.

And let’s not forget—the big shots on Capitol Hill are reportedly making contingency plans if Biden fails to deliver during Thursday’s NATO press conference. According to insider reports, at least a half-dozen Democratic lawmakers are ready to go public against the president if he tanks the press conference. Some have even drafted statements, gearing up for what could be the political coup of the century. If this isn’t the definition of a “vote of no confidence,” nothing is.

This does absolutely nothing for America’s reputation on the global stage.
In the meantime, the Democrats are scrambling, trying to put a Band-Aid on a bullet hole. The narrative that Biden is a pillar of honesty and strength has not just buckled; it has collapsed. With Democratic lawmakers reportedly ready to jump ship, one has to wonder how much longer can the Biden administration keep up this charade?
