This situation stemmed from a biological male competing on the women’s swim team in 2023. Now, one might think that we could rely on a college to adhere to existing laws, but it seems Roanoke College decided to swim upstream, ignoring the rules in the pursuit of something they claim aligns with their stricter policies compared to NCAA rules. Funny how those stricter rules still managed to miss the target.
In a world where men and women have separate sports categories due to undeniable physiological differences, it seems like common sense would prevail. Yet, here we are, where an entire women’s swim team continues to suffer from a decision that defies both logic and legality.
