Dan Bongino’s future at the FBI is uncertain after a major clash over the Jeffrey Epstein case. He didn’t show up for work on Friday, sparking rumors he might quit. This happened after a heated argument with top Trump officials about how the Epstein files were handled.
The fight started when the FBI and Justice Department closed their Epstein inquiry. They said they found no “client list” and no evidence of murder. This upset many conservatives who expected big revelations. Dan Bongino had promised the truth would “rock the political world.”
Bongino became FBI Deputy Director in February 2025. He’s a former Secret Service agent who protected Presidents Bush and Obama. Before joining the FBI, he hosted a popular podcast where he demanded Epstein’s secrets be revealed.
